Group Meeting
In week 1 group meeting, the following points were discussed:
The method to drive the motor and how to construct the whole IR system.
After that, the group were divided into two part which will work on IR and motor respectively.
Then the job was to distribute to each member in detail, three things need to be finished in the project for this stepper motor drive and IR transmission group:
Label the location of spokes
Locate the original point
Rotate the wheel.
Supervisor meeting
Professor Smith showed the outline for a whole project.
Give the KL46Z microcontroller to the group and give a brief introduction about it.
Lab Day
IR system
IR system group complete the following job in week 1:
Get all the order component in week 1 (KL46Z, bread broad, resistor, infrared LED and an infrared receiver.)

Check all the datasheet of the component above with the help of professor Smith, the photo-transistor replaced the infrared receiver and the circuit diagram of the IR system was figured out and constructed.
Then we find the online compiler of the KL46Z, and try to do some coding in the compiler.

Stepper motor drive
Learn some basic knowledge of Raspberry Pi and check the datasheet of the Raspberry Pi microcontroller, A4988 drive broad and NEMA 17 stepper motor.
Connect a power supply to the motor. Do some research on the stepper motor by the datasheet and try to work out the construct circuit diagram.

Problems, Issues and Concerns
Still unfamiliar with the KL46Z microcontroller.
IR receiver was not able to receive the signal from the IR LED.
Plan for next week
Construct the IR circuit base on the circuit diagram.
Do some coding for the IR and Motor, and try to drive the stepper motor and the IR system.
